Handmade by the womens cooperative Mujeres del barro rojo in the small Zapotec village of San Marcos Tlapazola. These bowls are shaped by a simple wheel and by hand. Texture and polish are created by using corn husks, leather, coconut shells and river stones. The pieces are then fired on an open flame until they get the desired colour.
Due to the handcrafted nature of these plates, each will differ slightly.
